South Park takes on the Hybrid
I don't watch a whole lot of TV and without cable I miss a fair amount of the comedy central satirical gems - like this South Park episode - but thank goodness for You Tube.
Via Mark Caserta's 3r living blog South Park took on the Hybrid and all the smugness that goes along with Hybrid owners.
The moral of the story: drive a hybrid but don't be smug about it. The whole episode is posted in 3 parts on You Tube (legally or illegally I do not know... but I enjoyed every minute of it.)

Meh. South Park is lame. Always has been.

I think it's funny. You have to understand the underlying satire in the show, however.

Sorry preston, but the "underlying satire" is not hard to understand. It is painfully obvious. Unlike say, early Simpsons or Wallace and Gromit, South Park has no interest in subtlety. South Park is lame because it is overhyped pseudosatire that rarely merits a chuckle. Personally, I'd like to see an episode of South Park in which its followers are mocked for beings self-indulgent pretentious boobs who try so earnestly to take that dumb show seriously. In conclusion, here is a quote from the co-creator, Matt Stone, that summarizes the level of maturity and political insight on display in South park, "I hate conservatives, but I really fucking hate liberals".

Their obvious satire is beautiful. they have carte blanche and really don't care how their shows affect or offend people, they criticize what they believe needs to be brought down a notch. Writing, whether for literary novels, or a 20 minute t.v. show, it is still art, and a gift. Matt and Trey have a gift to get across what they want, and it is underlying enough to stay on the air. and to be honest, does anyone actually like the conservajerks or the fiberals?

I delete comments that either aren't relevant to the post or other comments or are lewd and not nice. If you want to be not nice, go to someone else's blog.
