Gusse.org

Check out Gusse.org, a website where everything having to do with urban sustainability is at your fingertips in an Amazon-like searchable form. According to the info sheet: "Gusse is an online place where the world can collectively discuss, review and apply the best ideas for sustainable cities."

Gusse.org (pronounced gus-ee) was launched by the University of British Columbia to continue the dialogue of the World Urban Forum 3 after the conference ends on Friday. The site is still in its initial phase, and as one representative at the WUF told me, it's being held together by tape. But on an initial look it seems promising.

The UBC creators have been in contact with the Canadian government about getting behind the site, and are currently looking for members to be on an advisory board to monitor some of the content. They also want to get regional partners involved to highlight different areas of the globe.

If you have a chance, check it out and let them know what you think. (There's a survey you can take on the site, or you can e-mail them.) It'd be great to see this site gain momentum and some quality content that can help the world better achieve sustainable solutions to urban problems.
